Description

The Meaning of Gopinath

The name Gopīnātha carries a profound, double sweetness. First, it refers to the Lord and protector of the gopīs—the cowherd maidens of Vraja whose pure devotion forms the pinnacle of divine love.

However, an even more intimate meaning awaits the devotee. Gopīnātha also reveals the Lord who delights in love so deeply that He allows the gopīs to master Him. Therefore, this name reveals Krishna’s most confidential aspect, He is the sweet, tender Beloved who exchanges intimate affection with His devotees.

Because of this enchanting pastime, devotees affectionately worship Him as Kṣīra-corā Gopīnātha—the sweetrice thief. This hand-carved black marble form captures those exact moods. He stands here today as both the cherished Lord of the gopīs and the tender thief of our hearts.

The Form of Transcendental Beauty

The included collection features Seven (7) Complete Ensembles, each one custom-tailored to His exact form and dimensions, along with all accompanying regalia:

  1. Darling of the village — A gorgeous deep-orange dhoti paired with an airy, printed chiffon shawl cut full and flowing for luxurious draping, finished with a complementary gauzy peach sash in the sheerest weave.
  2. Waiting For Love — A richly embroidered deep pink brocade dhoti, paired with a matching pink sash and shawl for a look of luxurious heritage elegance.
  3. The Hero of the Cowherd Boys — The ultimate opulent cowherd-boy look. A stunning full dhoti in royal purple is paired with a gold, floral-embellished sash and a fully gold-trimmed purple shawl, finished with a classic cowherd-boy pagri and twisted ropes of violet and ivory — fit for the Hero of the Cowherd Boys.
  4. Regal Kingfisher Blue Dream — A heavily embellished dhoti with a dramatic fan pleat, encrusted with stones and fine zari work, paired with a long-sleeved two-tone jacket and a glorious, gemstone-crusted full cloak lined in opulent lime-green satin. A dashing two-tone turban completes the look, detailed with stonework, embroidery, and a debonair side pleat.
  5. Yellow Sunset — A gorgeous, opulent rich-yellow dhoti with fine embroidered embellishments, paired with a lilac self-striped sheer sash and shawl. Style Him with His golden crown, His flower crown, or mix in a different turban for endless variation.
  6. Citron Yellow — A glorious antique-gold brocade dhoti in citrine yellow, paired with a dashing green sash and shawl, a matching yellow vest, and a yellow turban for a bright, festive finish.
  7. Rose Red — Specially tailored for extended wearability: the fanned pleat is optional and can be removed to reveal full pants underneath. Styled with a red short vest, red shawl, and a red sash — or wrap the sash as a turban, as shown.

A Capsule Wardrobe, By Design Look closer, and you’ll notice the sashes, shawls, turbans, and vests were never meant to stay locked to a single dhoti. Each piece was deliberately designed to coordinate across the collection — a golden crown from one outfit, a turban from another, a shawl borrowed from a third — so that mixing and matching opens up far more looks than the seven sets shown. It’s a capsule wardrobe built for Krishna: a small, considered collection of pieces engineered to multiply into countless combinations, ensuring your service to Gopīnātha never grows repetitive.

Śṛṅgāra of Red Flowers & Jewels A gorgeous garland fashioned from red flowers entwined with jewels, accompanied by matching bracelets and anklets in the same flowering jewel-work — as though a garden of Vṛndāvana had been gathered and strung especially to adorn Him.

Pearl & Ruby Jewellery A dazzling suite of pearl and ruby ornaments, cut and set to catch the light with every turn — necklaces, bracelets, armlets, and crown-jewels that sparkle beautifully against the deep black marble, evoking the Lord’s own description as one whose ornaments shine like stars scattered across a monsoon night sky. Girdling His waist is a radiant pearl belt, decorated with large luminous teardrop pearls to create an temple inspired adornment. It can be worn with any of the outfits according to the pujari decorative designs.

He comes with a wonderful bamboo flute, gold flute, as well as a softly curling black wig. Explore videos of our darling, here
