The Meaning of Vanamali
Vanamali is a wonderful name of Krishna, meaning “He who wears a garland of forest flowers.” Sri Vanamali Krishna whose beauty is soft like flowers, and whose every floral ornament blooms as though Vrindadevi herself has come to adorn Him.

He stands in the classical three-fold bend of the Lord playing His flute on the banks of the Yamunā, His waist curving gently into hip in the captivating pose devotees adore, His 3 fold bending form. Carved from soft white marble with a delicate, barely-there blush of blue, He seems lit from within, like the sky in the last hush before dawn, every contour perfect: the soft roundness of His cheeks, the tender crease of His smiling eyes, the delicate tapering of His fingers. True to His name, Vanamali’s entire shringar has been designed around the theme of a garland plucked from the forest:
Jewelled Flower Garlands Crafted from lustrous pearls and flowers, His necklaces are worked into lotus buds interwoven with roses and tiny white star-like jasmine – blossoms interspersed with jewels so the garland catches the light like dew. Tiny butterflies hover delicately above the blooms, quivering with every breeze.
Bracelets, Armlets, and Anklets Matching bracelets and armlets decorate His arms, blooming with flowers and buds, butterflies and pearls. Dainty pearl flower and butterfly anklets adorn His feet, so that even His smallest movements shimmer with tiny jewelled blooms.
Playful Lotus Ornament A stunning lotus-shaped hip ornament, styled after the opulent temple jewellery belts of Krishna Deities, rests at His hip, and can also be clipped to His crowns or turbans.
Pearl & Sapphire Jewellery Set Decorating His throat and chest, a short pearl and sapphire necklace forms the delicate upper layer of this set. A long, triple-tiered strand of pearls interspersed with rich sapphire stones hangs to His knees, bringing glowing radiance to any outfit He wears. Delicate seed pearl bracelets rest against His wrists, traditional gold and pearl anklets encircle His ankles, and intricately worked gold hoop earrings ornament His ears with classic grace. Golden Crown A gorgeous jewelled golden crown, inset with sapphires and gloriously draped side gold swirls.
Manjaris at His feet His base is beautifully decorated on all four sides with a hand-painted pattern of tulasī manjarī. Submissively offered at the Lotus Feet of Sri Krishna is just where Srimate Tulasī Devī always aspires to be.
Flutes and Horn specially created bamboo flute and a golden flute, as well as a special buffalo horn on a gold chain. A care packet is included with clips for His hair and garments.
